Associate Tutors (IAPT)

We are seeking to appoint a number of sessional Associate Tutors and Supervisors on our successful and expanding BABCP Level 2 accredited Postgraduate Diploma in Evidence Based High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (IAPT) courses. We run courses across the East of England region so travel is required for supervision and training delivery. Our current delivery is at UEA and also in Luton/Elstree in Hertfordshire. We have a spring cohort starting for the LTC expansion and the delivery site will be between Hertfordshire and Cambridge.

Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Evidence-Based High Intensity Psychological Therapy

We are seeking to appoint a full-time highly experienced IAPT CBT professional with a recognised CBT diploma qualification, a minimum of two years post qualification experience and full accreditation with the BABCP. This specific role is to contribute on the Level 2 BABCP accredited IAPT High Intensity professional training courses commissioned by Health Education East of England and also discrete projects of training which UEA may be commissioned to provide by others. UEA provide both HIT and PWP training across the East of England region in various locations. In 2016/17 training takes place at UEA and Hertfordshire with further delivery of training in Cambridgeshire/Bedfordshire from 2017. The post is therefore also suitable for someone who lives outside of East Anglia and is able to travel on a regular basis. There is the opportunity for flexibility around home working on non-course delivery days.

The specific role is to act as a PWP Tutor/Lecturer in Evidence-Based Low Intensity Psychological Therapies on the UEA BPS accredited PWP Training Programmes. Teaching is delivered off site and in 2017 being delivered in Hertfordshire and the Buckinghamshire/Berkshire/Oxford region. The posts are therefore suitable for someone who lives in these areas or can travel to them on a regular basis and there is the opportunity for flexibility around home working on non-delivery days.

The role of the Psychological Wellbeing Adviser is to provide psychological wellbeing support to our beneficiaries, including veterans and their families, working peripatetically to cover the Devon area. This will include a wide range of approaches and interventions including assessment, advice, information, referral, short-term one to one support via phone or face to face, delivering psycho-education groups throughout the area with emphasis on promoting mindfulness and compassion based approaches and other non-clinical psychological interventions including therapeutic mentoring on Recovery Centre activities. The post holder will also be expected to assess beneficiaries need and assist the Recovery Centre to support beneficiaries with mental health difficulties. Liaison with the Recovery Centre multi-disciplinary team and external statutory and voluntary sector agencies will also be required to ensure excellent support for beneficiaries with mental health and/or wellbeing needs.
