You will provide insight and understanding of clinical developments in CBT and the organisation. A key element of the post is to represent BABCP at functions, meetings and conferences across the UK and Ireland to influence policy and provide feedback to the Board and other senior staff to help formulate and inform future strategy. You will report to the Company Secretary on a day-to-day basis but will be accountable to the Board via the President and Honorary Secretary.

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the exciting, challenging and diverse boroughs of the City of London and Hackney, the post holder will be responsible for providing a High intensity CBT service within Mind’s IAPT service; providing specialist psychological assessment, formulation and therapy. The post holder will offer advice and consultation on clients’ psychological care to colleagues from other disciplines and to other, non-professional carers and will work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures. They will utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by the team/service. Working on the front line of mental health and social care, the post holder will provide a safe environment for clients to explore their issues, and demonstrate the value and outcomes of these services to bring about meaningful psycho-social change.

The specific role is to act as the Senior PWP Tutor/Lecturer in Evidence-Based Psychological Therapies on the UEA Low Intensity CBT (PWP) Training Programme. Low intensity training in mental health and wellbeing has been commissioned by Health Education East of England and we are expanding our training portfolio therefore the post holder will be expected to contribute to discrete projects of training commissioned by others. As the majority of students are NHS employees, the post-holder will be required to liaise effectively with a wide range of contacts outside the University.
