Members’ online access to BABCP’s journals

BABCP publishes two high quality journals.

Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy is an international, multidisciplinary journal aimed primarily at members of the helping and teaching professions. Published five times annually, it features original research papers, covering both experimental and clinical work, which contribute to the theory, practice and evolution of CBT.

The Cognitive Behaviour Therapist is an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal aimed primarily at CBT practitioners in the helping and teaching professions. Published quarterly, the journal features articles covering clinical and professional issues, which contribute to the theory, practice and evolution of CBT.

Being a BABCP member entitles you to access the journals online at the Cambridge University Press (CUP) website.

Login to www.babcp.com/members and access the journals using the link posted on the Members homepage.

The journals can also be accessed directly on the CUP journals website. Go to http://journals.cambridge.org. Registration on the CUP is necessary for first time users.

To register, follow these easy steps:

  • Click the Register Account on the journals homepage
  • Enter your details and create your username and password
  • Once you have registered and logged in, you need to activate your subscription
  • From the drop down list on the left of the page, please select the option ‘Activate Subscriptions’
  • Scroll down the page to the ‘Society Subscriptions’ option
  • Enter 71650 in the ‘Society ID’ field and your membership number in the ‘Society Subscription ID’ field

Once these details have been entered successfully, you will be able to access current and previous editions of the journals.
