CBT and the BABCP
A guide to BABCP Accredited Cognitive Behaviour Therapists
The BABCP Accreditation process requires therapists to satisfy a number of criteria and to have undergone specific levels of training, practice and supervision. The criteria for Accreditation can be seen HERE.
All BABCP members, Accredited or not, must agree to abide by the Standards of Conduct and Ethics for the practice of CBT, you can see those guidelines HERE
If a patient feels that a therapist has breached those guidelines the BABCP has a complaints and disciplinary committee which can look at any grievances that a person may have towards a therapist. For information on the Complaints procedure please follow this link - complaints procedure
