BABCP

At the Inaugural Meeting of the new group at the BABCP Annual Conference 2009 in Exeter the following people were chosen as acting members of the committee

We had a very small inaugural meeting of the new SIG- thank you to those who gave apologies as well-

We agreed that Ann St Aubin Roberts will act as Treasurer, Eric Sharp will act as Secretary, and I (Helen Macdonald) will act as Chair and branch liason for now.

We discussed a few ideas, and initially we have agreed to look at the idea of putting forward a panel debate and symposium for the next BABCP conference-  in Manchester next year- we had quite a few suggestions about the content of such a symposium; and we are also hoping that members of groups (e.g Physios or vocational rehab people) might be interested in a CBT angle and might want to come to one day if this was on offer-

We felt we were not in a position to organise anything very ambitious in the first instance, but that these ideas were a good place to start-
