Psychological Therapies for Depression in a Post-IAPT World
The Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) initiative is rolling out nationally with a view to ensuring cognitive-behavioural therapy is as accessible as possible for people who would like to make use of a psychological treatment for depression. However, the most recent NICE Depression Guideline (2009) makes a range of recommendations not yet covered by IAPT services. This workshop series provides an overview of some of the issues facing services and therapists wishing to implement the 2009 NICE Depression and 2007 Antenatal and Postnatal Mental Health Guidelines.
