Diversity & Equalities Statement
We oppose all forms of discrimination and discriminatory practice of any kind. This includes, but is not limited to discrimination on the basis of age, disability, gender reassignment, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, marriage and civil partnership and pregnancy and maternity.
In our role as employer, professional body and holder of a voluntary accreditation register for courses and individuals, we are clear that discrimination of any kind is unacceptable. We recognise that discrimination can range from overt to more covert forms and can include micro behaviours and microaggressions.
We recognise that psychotherapy is not representative of the populations it serves. We are committed to improving access to therapies for diverse groups and representation of those groups within the CBT therapist community.
Our core values include equality, diversity and collaboration. We appreciate the importance of diversity and inclusivity and seek to maximise participation and engagement from all with an interest in CBT, in particular those from under-represented groups.
We wish to be a continually learning organisation, reflecting on our own practice along with that of our members and seeking to improve and develop.
