BABCP is leading the way in furthering the provision of high-quality CBT in the UK and Ireland. We have a diverse membership of more than 19,000 people working in public, private and voluntary sectors.
Being a Trustee
We are seeking nominations from members to join our Board of Trustees. As a Trustee you are responsible for oversight in managing BABCP in accordance with our Memorandum and Articles of Association as well as charity and company legislation. You will have a legal duty to act in the best interests of BABCP, manage BABCP's resources responsibly, and act with reasonable care and skill.
Previous experience as a Trustee or similar position would be helpful, but not essential.

We welcome applicants for all our positions who possess the relevant attributes, but we would particularly welcome black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME), lesbian, gay, bi, trans (LGBTQ+) and disabled applicants.
To nominate yourself as a Trustee, please go to the nominations site, which is being hosted by UK Engage on behalf of BABCP (UK Engage are a leading independent election services provider). Nominations close on 29 May.
Visit the nominations site, and use the 'Click here to nominate yourself' button. You will be asked to confirm your name, email address and BABCP membership number. You also need to provide a supporting statement of no more than 250 words, as well as the names of your Proposer and Seconder. Your statement will be used on a ballot should an election be necessary.
You will need to ask your Proposer and Seconder to go to the nominations site and confirm their support for your nomination. They will do so by using the 'Click here to support a candidate' button.
You will receive an automated confirmation email after you have submitted your nomination. UK Engage will email you shortly afterwards to remind you that your Proposer and Seconder must also confirm their support for you via the nominations site. Please note that both your Proposer and Seconder must be current BABCP members.
