We recently completed our first Professional Standards Authority (PSA) Annual Check of the CBT Register.
The PSA confirmed that the CBT Register continues to meet requirements and remains accredited. We are delighted that our accredited and registered members listed on the Register contribute to protecting vulnerable people and the wider public by upholding standards in CBT. They form an important part of the CBT community which is committed to meeting high standards of CBT practice.
BABCP CEO Tommy McIlravey said: "This news is a fantastic achievement, building on our success in being awarded PSA accreditation of the CBT Register in 2023.
"I'd like to acknowledge the tremendous amount of work put in by our staff as well as current and former board members and other volunteers.
"The PSA has acknowledged work that we have delivered to continually develop our commitment to protect the public through our Standards, Complaints handling and our Accreditation and Registration processes.
"It's great that our members on the CBT Register are able to display their status by using the PSA Quality Mark, and I look forward to our continued work with the PSA to promote the high standards that BABCP Accredited and Registered members meet."
BABCP Accredited or Registered members who are listed on the CBT Register can download the PSA Quality Mark to add to email signatures, websites or stationery, to display their accredited or registered status. These members can go to the link below to find out more.
