Are you a member yet? Membership is open to all and is the first step towards accreditation.
Full Accreditation is the second stage of accreditation and you should apply for it 12 months after receiving your Provisional Accreditation.
Level 2 course graduates can extend this to 18 months by emailing accreditation@babcp.com.
If you don't submit your Full Accreditation application or discuss any delay with us by your due date, your Provisional Accreditation may lapse.
All accredited therapists appear on the CBT Register - we don’t differentiate between Provisionally and Fully accredited therapists in terms of their suitability to practice.

Signatures
Some of the documents you will submit with your application require signatures from you or other people. We are in the process of updating our documents to incorporate electronic signatures. In the meantime, here is some guidance on how to validate a document or provide proof of identity if signatures aren't possible.
Signature Guidance
This must be completed by your current CBT clinical supervisor. This document should be completed and signed within one month prior to your application submission. If you have been supervised by your current supervisor for less than six months, your previous supervisor should also provide a report.
Supervisor's Report [Word]
You are expected to give evidence of five CBT CPD activities drawn from across the range of learning and development activities. These will have been completed in the twelve months since you were awarded Provisional Accreditation. One of these may be a non-CBT specific activity provided that you can justify on your Reflective Statement how it is appropriate to your practice.
Within this, you are required to include at least six hours of CBT skills workshop(s) per year and complete a Reflective Statement for each of these. This can be one workshop or a number of shorter ones.
Acceptable CPD activities and evidence
Reflective Statements are best completed soon after completing each activity.
