Director of Psychological Therapies and Wellbeing - Maternity Cover 

LOCATION: Mind in the City, Hackney and Waltham Forest, 8-10 Tudor Road, London, E9 7SN (Flexible)

SALARY: £47,567- £50,556 (pro rata)

HOURS: 4 days per week (30 hours)

CONTRACT: Fixed term: 11th August 2022- 11th May 2023

The Role

You will be leading the strategic direction across Psychological Therapies & Wellbeing services, improving services by closely monitoring performance, feedback from clients and staff, problem solving with managers when challenges arise and ensuring strong processes and policies across services (i.e. risk management). You will build strong networks and relationships with key external stakeholders and influence change across the local area to improve partnership working and outcomes for residents. 

Service responsibility includes:

  • The City and Hackney Wellbeing Network
  • MindCHWF IAPT, IRIE IAPT and Rainbow Mind IAPT service
  • Grief in Pieces/ Safe Connections Suicide Postvention and Prevention
  • The Integrated City & Hackney Recovery Service
  • Community Connectors
  • Our role in the VIP trial
  • Commissioned Psychological Support for VCSE staff, Care Home staff

We offer a vibrant and multi-disciplinary Psychological Therapies offer across our services, combining 1:1 and group approaches. The Psychological Therapy service is accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). The wider PT&W teams consist of Psychotherapists, Counsellors, Psychologists, Mindfulness practitioners, Art therapists, mental health support workers, substance misuse support workers, social workers and honorary therapists (psychological practitioners in training). 

We have strong outcomes across our services with a 1:1 offer as well as a wide range of groups such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Managing Anger and Difficult Emotions (DBT and CFT based), Radical Self care (CFT based), CBT, MBCT, Arts Therapies along with social and activities based groups.
