An exciting and stimulating opportunity has arisen for a Band 7, Senior Psychological Therapist to lead the primary care team within the Psychological Therapies Service (PTS) in NHS Shetland.
As team lead you will be responsible for providing clinical and managerial leadership, support and supervision to colleagues within the primary care PTS while also seeing clients for individual consultation. As part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team, you will work on a collaborative basis with GPs and CMHT colleagues to provide psychological therapy services to a wide range of clients presenting with mild to moderate mental health difficulties. There is also the opportunity for innovation in terms of looking at different models of service delivery.
You will need a Master’s degree in Psychological Therapies or equivalent qualification with good ICT and communication skills. In addition, you will need significant post qualifying experience in primary care and/or a multidisciplinary mental health setting. Furthermore, you will need a supervision qualification and evidence of skills and experience of managing and leading a team. Experience of working in a remote and rural location would be desirable.
Remote working from the UK mainland will be considered. If this is the case, Distant Islands Allowance and Relocation assistance will not be applicable.
