About the team:

SWLSTG provide Early Intervention Services (EIS) to people who have experienced a First Episode of Psychosis (FEP) in accordance with NHSE and NICE guidance. The team offers evidence-based treatment which includes a range of interventions, including medication management, relapse prevention, Family Intervention, carers support and talking therapies to help people in their recovery journey. The team philosophy is centred around recovery and reintegration back into mainstream community life inclusive of employment, training and social inclusion.

About the role:

As part of our service delivery we require expertise in using CBT to treat psychosis using evidence-based treatment to drive recovery and support people to an optimum level of functioning. The candidate needs to have the relevant qualification, experience and skill set to deliver effective high-quality treatment. 

The CBTp therapists will be joining an experienced, highly motivated and supportive group of clinical psychology colleagues and CBTp therapists to provide specialist assessment, evidence based treatments (individual, group and family) for people experiencing a first episode of psychosis and their families, as well as consultation and service evaluation.

Post holders will play an important role in ensuring the team meets the National Standard with regard to access and waiting times and a key component of the clinical work will be related to delivering Family Interventions. 

We have 4 positions (full-time & part-time) available which are located in the trust boroughs of Wandsworth, Sutton, Merton and Kingston.
