Self-employed Accreditors

We are recruiting a number of sub-contracted Accreditors to process accreditation and registration applications. 

We have more than 14,000 members, with nearly 8,000 of these currently accredited. Our Register includes accredited CBT practitioners, supervisors and trainers, and rational-emotive behaviour therapists. We launched accreditation of Evidence-Based Parenting Practitioners (EBPTs) in 2020. The Wellbeing Practitioner Section of the CBT Register UK was launched in June 2021, for Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWPs), with further development of registers for Children and Young People’s Wellbeing Practitioners (CWPs) and Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) also being worked on. The role of accreditation and registration is increasingly important, and demand is growing.

We have also applied to the Professional Standards Authority for recognition of the CBT Register UK.

We are particularly keen to recruit accreditors who have experience of working with children and young people. The role will involve a commitment of approximately half a day per week working remotely/from home, with flexibility according to demand. Accreditors are managed by our team of Accreditation Liaison Officers, who provide training and supervision meetings for our Accreditation and Registration Assessors.

Successful candidates will assess applications against our Standards for accreditation or registration.

Applicants must have current accreditation as a CBT practitioner for at least two years at the time of application, and will have a thorough understanding of the Accreditation process.

All applicants will also have experience of working in committees, team working and presenting to groups. You will be committed to providing a high quality, respectful and timely service to members; to protecting the public by upholding standards and supporting principles of evidence-based practice.
