Working in a Culturally Sensitive way in Independent Practice

Presented by Taf Kunorubwe

About the event

This is an online, participative event via the Zoom meeting platform.  This session will not be recorded.

There has been increased attention on improving access and outcomes within CBT for clients from diverse backgrounds. However, a lot of this attention has focused on statutory services such as IAPT, with little focus on working in a culturally competent way in Independent Practice (IP); despite this being just as important and presenting with unique opportunities and challenges. This workshop aims to help attendees to gain an awareness of working in a culturally sensitive way within Independent Practice.

This event is suitable for CBT therapists currently working or considering starting to work in Independent Practice, or those generally interested in working in a culturally sensitive way.
