In this webinar we will look at - - the characteristics and recognition of people with learning disability and consider how this differs from similar concepts such as learning difficulty- the epidemiology of learning disability and identify that a surprisingly high proportion of people in mainstream services might benefit from the types of adaptation that benefit people with learning disabilities- the evidence base for CBT with people with learning disabilities with depression and anxiety- the adaptation of structured assessments and therapy for people with learning disabilities and lower ability We will finish with an overview of an evidence-based, manualised guided self-help and behavioural activation intervention for people with learning disabilities that has an associated introductory training and all materials accessible on the e-lfh website (https://www.e-lfh.org.uk/programmes/intellectual-disability-and-depression-talking-therapies/).
