The purpose of IPSIG is to represent the interest of full and part-time independent practitioners and to bring matters affecting independent practice to the attention of the Association.
The aims of the Independent Practitioners Special Interest Group (IPSIG) are to ensure that issues of independent practice, and any problems arising from it, are addressed, and resolved in accordance with the BABCP Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics, and the BABCP Complaints Procedure. In conjunction with members of the IPSIG committee and other BABCP members, the BABCP Private Practice Guidelines was launched in April 2023. This was published with the aim of supporting members who are considering working in private practice. You can find this invaluable guide here.
